Auditing

When you audit a class, you pay for all tuition and fees and participate in the class, but do not earn a grade or any credit for the course. In addition, after you audit a class you cannot take it during a future term for credit or a grade. Auditing a class typically only makes sense when you want to review a course for which you already have credit but don't want a grade to impact your OSU GPA. For example, if you completed Math 1151 then took two years away from college coursework, auditing Math 1151 may be worthwhile to review the content before moving on to your next math course. If you have questions about auditing a course, contact your academic advisor. The deadline to register to audit a full-semester class is the 4th Friday of the semester.
