Younkin Success Center

The Younkin Success Center houses the Dennis Learning Center, Career Counseling and Support Services, Student-Athlete Support Services, and Counseling and Consultation Services. Younkin also provides free drop-in tutoring in math, physics, and chemistry courses.

Dennis Learning Center provides academic learning and support. Their major services include courses, workshops, online modules, and individual appointments. They provide instruction and support to develop each student's individual motivation and learning strategies, including note-taking, learning from text, exam preparation, test-taking, time mangement, and self-regulation.

Career Counseling and Support Services provides individual attention tailored to each student's unique career development goals. Career counselors can assist your student with career assessment, major and career exploration, career decision making, goal setting, and guidance on the development of career tools such as resumes, cover letters, interview skills, job search strategies, and graduation/professional school applications.

Counseling and Consultation Services (CCS) provides support services related to wstudent wellness. Counselors at CCS can assist your student with managing stress, adjusting to campus, addressing interpersonal conflicts, homesickness, anxiety, and depression.

Student Life Disability Services

Student Life Disability Services collaborates with and empowers students who have disabilities in order to coordinate support services and programs that enable equal access to an education and university life. There are a variety of staff members at Disability Services who perform different functions. All Disability Services staff members work towards assisting you in getting equal access to an education and in ensuring that you receive the services that you need and are authorized for.

Math Stats Learning Center

The Math and Stats Learning Center provides free tutoring, exam preparation, topic reviews, and help sessions for courses within the mathematics and statistics sequences. Students can complete homework during open tutoring hours, attend targeted sessions on specific concepts, and review study tips for preparing for coursework.

Writing Center

The Writing Center at the Center for the Study of Teaching and Writing offers free help with writing at any stage of the writing process for any member of the university community. During sessions, consultants can work with you on anything from research papers to lab reports, from dissertations to résumés, from proposals to application materials. The Writing Center also maintain a resources page with writing handouts and links to online resources.
